HOW TO USE
To Use as a Mask: Wet face. Take a small dime size amount of the mud, and slowly start applying to face with a gentle circular motion. The mud will melt on your skin, covering it in a thin, sweet layer of flowers and berries. Leave on for 5-15 minutes. Remove by rinsing with warm water. Follow by cleansing the skin with one of our toners and a cotton pad. Finish with a facial oil or balm. For best results, use after an herbal steam.

This is my favorite Apoterra product so far. I love the smell and consistency, and it really does wonders as a mask/exfoliant. It instantly brightens my skin and makes it so soft. And a little goes a long way. For my combination/blemish skin type, I have paired this with the Neroli Clarifying Toner and the Night Clarifying Treatment.

I love this mask. I treat myself to it twice a week. The pores on my nose tend to get more clogged than the rest of my face, so I put a clay mask on my nose, and spread the Hibiscus Mud on my cheeks, chin and forehead which tend to be the most dry. Afterwards, my skin feels so much softer, even through the water, as I'm rinsing it off. This mud is a little too rough for my extremely sensitive skin (I'm a redhead with ivory skin and slight rosacea), so I don't use it as an exfoliant. It can also be a little difficult to make into a paste, but you don't have to spread it on thick for it to work. As with all of the Apoterra products, a little goes a long way!

I am so in love with this product that I'm not at all ashamed to admit I'm OBSESSED. This mask/scrub is the perfect bi-weekly treatment to pamper my skin and I look forward to it every time. After washing my face, I gently apply this to damp skin (it has the almost consistency of berry jam) and leave on for 10-15 min, and then gently scrub as I remove the mask when the time is up. The honey works as a natural humectant to seal moisture into the skin, while also fighting bacteria, so that when I'm done my face feels baby soft and super hydrated. Also if this gets on your lips, YUM!! Just saying... :)

Just got the products yesterday and I was so excited I had to give myself a facial right away! It's only been 12 hours using them but I love them already. My skin looks less red and irritated after cleansing and my pores have never looked so clean. I think that was the most effective facial I've ever had, and I didn't have to spend hundreds of dollars for it either! I can't wait to see what other changes happen to my skin....hopefully the redness continues to go down and my rough skin patches will soften. (Aloe + Rose Clay soap, Hibiscus Exfoliating Mud, Neroli Clarifying Toner, Simple Facial Oil + Night Regenerative Balm)

I use as an exfoliating scrub for about 30 seconds and then leave on for about 5 minutes. After rinsing my skin feels soft and plumped...like the mask nourished and moisturized my skin. The scent is yummy too. Love this stuff.

I have been in the beauty business for almost 30 years. I can truly say this is the best facial scrub I have ever used. I have sensitive skin and am very cautious about scrubs - this one is very gentle. Also - the scent of the berries is delightful.
